PURPOSE OF CONFIRMATION
*to
prepare our young people for adult membership in the church (this is the party
line!!)
*in
reality: to cultivate in our young people a positive attitude toward the
church,
so they
will continue to be involved and see RELIGION & THE CHURCH
as
important parts of their daily lives.
REQUIREMENTS
*be at
class
we dont meet very often!!
*if you
cannot be at class
please call the church ahead of time and let us know why?
*be at
worship with your family on a regular basis
not every Sunday, necessarily
but ---
going to confirmation class and not going to church --- this isnt what we
want.
*respect --- for our church building
for each other
for your instructors.

confirmation camp at Carthage College the end of the 2nd year
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL MONDAY EVENING LOOK LIKE?

gather in the gym or in the basement
*approx. 7:30
our LESSON FOR THE DAY

a bit of a break

prayers in the church

we met every week
and we could stay longer!!!.
